About Food Vixen

Greetings everyone! My name is Melissa Rodriguez, I live in NYC and I am a food writer in what is popularly known as the  culinary capital of the world.

New York City is rich and diverse in culture. Tasty varieties of cuisine from all corners of the world compressed into every nook & cranny of Manhattan and the outer boroughs. I want to experience all of it, try everything. I strive to learn more about the world and true art of a scrumptious meal put together with love & passion.

I enjoy learning about food from different cultures, and have an open mind policy when it comes to cuisine (I am willing to try anything at least once). Food is sensuous, as it tantalizes each of our senses. Colors, textures, aromas, like the crackling sound of chicken wings as they sizzle in a deep fryer, flavors and fragrances that bring a sense of nostalgia. Food is life, and we crave it. I am so thankful that we have it in abundance for us to devour at will. Food is a celebration of unity.  The art of a comforting meal, a sexy meal, a healthy meal, is a true blessing. This is my journey into the senses.
