I was introduced to the idea of “juicing” and I am not referring to steroid usage, either. I’m talking 100% natural, never bottled, un-pasteurized juicy goodness consisting of the freshest fruits and vegetables our planet has to offer. Not to say that I am a “juicing fanatic” and I don’t think that “juicing” is the miracle cure to every ailment in existence, however, I do know that its a wonderfully tasty and nutritious way of incorporating the necessary vitamins into our daily lives.
The benefits of juicing have only recently started to become mainstream knowledge. Juicing enables us to easily fulfill our dietary need for 5 servings of veggies and 3 servings of fruit. Most of us don’t eat enough fruits and vegetables to reap the benefits they offer. The average American consumes only about 1 1/2 servings of vegetables and almost no fruit on any given day. Juicing provides the body with concentrated nutrients that enter the bloodstream rapidly that can’t be achieved by simply eating the fruit or vegetable.
When will we see the benefits take place?
Healthy living is a full time commitment that is not only limited to vitamin supplements and juicing. It is a complete lifestyle overhaul. Its about wholesome food choices, incorporating exercise at least three times per week, getting plenty of rest and curbing your smoking and drinking habits (if any). Gradually, you will begin to notice the change in the size of your waistline, and a drastic increase in energy levels.
There is nothing sexier than soft luminous skin, bright eyes and just this overall glow of healthiness. This can only be achieved when you show your body a little TLC. “Let food be your medicine, and medicine be your food.”
